We are thrilled to announce that upgrades will soon begin to bring our Wailuku campus into compliance with the American Disability Act. The upgrades will make it easier for those with disabilities to access our facility and seek services from the sixteen nonprofit organizations that we serve.
Specific upgrades include resizing, realigning and regrading parking stalls; regrading and modifying walkways and sidewalks to provide more convenient access to offices and program areas; repaving a portion of the parking lot and replacing portion of the concrete curb fronting selected buildings; and replacing a malfunctioning parking lot lighting system with a modern and environmentally friendly LED lighting system that complies with ADA standards and improves security and access to facility during night hours.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, providing over 43,000 square feet of office space under 6 individual buildings to sixteen resident agencies that provide health and human Services to over 30,000 Maui community clients annually. In addition, more than 250 community groups, ethnic clubs, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private businesses use the center’s meeting rooms throughout the year attracting over 30,000 attendees.
